About
Vicco Labs is the name I give what I do outside my day job in generative AI: software, writing, and the attempt to articulate a shared vocabulary between engineering and governance.
I've spent my career at the intersection of business and technology. After 17 years inside one of Brazil's largest federal banks, I made a deliberate move into engineering and generative AI, and discovered my real edge is moving fluently between those two worlds and shipping concrete things.
Today I'm a Generative AI Specialist at ASA, implementing and scaling the AI layer inside a regulated banking environment. Before that, at Itaú Unibanco, I worked on Brazil's first conversational AI for retail investments - including a redesign that took the system prompt from 70k tokens to 3k while also improving accuracy.
Before that, embedded at Banco do Brasil via Cast Group, I led a multimodal corporate assistant in Teams using LLMs, RAG, intent recognition, NL-to-SQL, and Microsoft Graph on Azure. At BTG Pactual, seven automation projects in four months returned roughly 368 hours per year. At Caixa Econômica Federal, across 17 years, I structured a US$ 100M BNDES Exim operation that paid for a full branch's implementation in its first year.
In every GenAI role, security was a central concern: prompt-injection defense, session isolation, safe tool use. Today I structure that work under NIST AI RMF 1.0, ISO/IEC 42001:2023, OWASP LLM Top 10 (2025), OWASP Agentic Top 10 (2026), NIST SP 800-53r5, CIS v8.1, and MITRE ATLAS, and implemented at the infrastructure layer (ZDR, prompt inspection, traffic control), storage architecture aligned to LGPD data residency, and AML/PLD controls. The goal is AI that holds up under audit, scale, and adversarial pressure.
Beyond building systems, I care about making organizations ready to use them. I design training programs, playbooks, and internal enablement materials that bring both technical and non-technical teams along, because a robust architecture means nothing if the people operating it don’t understand it.
